Given the droves of young golfing talent in the country, we’re extremely proud and humbled to have two of the brightest young Australian stars practising and playing their golf at Peregian as Ambassadors. Cassie Porter and Lucas Herbert have both been gathering incredible momentum and we’re getting right behind them as they launch attacks on the various tournaments and tours.

Official World Golf Ranking April 2020: 64 World Amateur Golf Ranking April 2020 : 98

What a career Lucas is forging for himself since gaining his European Tour card. In his breakout year on tour in 2018, Lucas made everyone take note with a number of top 10 finishes and two top 5 finishes which ultimately led to finishing the year off in 47th place. A steady year in 2019 helped him retain his full playing status in 2020 with a breakthrough European Tour Victory coming at the Omega Dubai Desert Classic in January!

When he isn’t overseas competing, you can generally find Lucas at Peregian Golf Course honing his skills on the driving range as well as the short game area. With his strong dedication to his practice, we’re sure to see many more successful finishes in what is only just the beginning of a great golfing story.
